The cha cha method I used was "off" even more than the 1st image and did not really align perfectly. As a result, I decided to change out the background but I also had to clone most of the object because of the misalignment problem.I decided to create a border which incorporates a classic illusion of being a gradient color but in actuality, it is one solid color around the image. It appears to be gradient only because of it's relative color shade association to the adjacent gradient background of the image. I purposely made the border a shade of green that would contrast in relation to the gradient image background.
