You're probably right Werner but to be honest, I wasn't that concerned about accuracy with the shadows.  I just slapped a little shadow on (using the burn tool in PS) to enhance the 3D effect a little.  At first, I wasn't even going to bother with it at all.

the shadow is not only at the wrong side but also needs to be different in its width since the paws are in in front of the window (show towards the viewer) so the shadow  cant be equal all the way.

Good eye Werner.  I had to look several times before I noticed what you meant.  Too bad for me, because applying the shadows would have been much much easier on the other side of the paws.
