DISAPPOINTMENT
On this our final full day at
the Island Seas Resort we all decided to make one last trip to the Lucaya
Market. For me this meant the possibility
that I would find Prudence and
deliver the photos I made of her last year.
Upon our arrival at 11:00
a.m. I jumped off the bus and ran to Prudence's dress shop. Damn--the
shop was closed, even at this late hour! I was disappointed.
While our companions went
shopping, Marge and I decided to explore on our own after pre-arranging a time
and place for all to meet for lunch.. In the distance
could be seen a harbor
lighthouse, just beyond the
marina at the rear of the market. We decided to walk to the tall
structure.
Our stroll took us through some
of the more luxurious resort hotels on Grand Bahamas Island. Even though
signs warned against trespassing by
non-guests, we took a chance and
strolled onto the grounds.
