This monument marks the spot
where Abraham Lincoln delivered his simple, yet eloquent Gettysburg
Address. When it comes
to patriotism I don't consider
myself as belonging to the crowd of flag-wavers. Being American is
the result of my birth, and
not something I earned. I must
admit however that whenever I reach this spot tears flow freely.
Since a small group of visitors
are huddling around the monument inscription I decide to leave them alone and
not try to
get a closer view.
The upcoming view is not in
stereo.
