OK, maybe I'm a little dense . . . I've reviewed Brian's Step-by-Step Conversion Guide and the documentation at http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/help/index.htm,
but I still must be doing something wrong. Here's what I'm doing . .
if anyone can see where I'm screwing up, please let me know:1. I loaded a single, flat image as both the left and right images into SPM. The default view is side-by-side.
2. Following Brian's pre-Steps "Tips" note, I adjusted the brush setting (CTRL + N OR from the Edit
drop down menu)
and then "launched" the clone brush as described, by holding the shift
key until the brush appears. Then, holding down on the left mouse
button, I "brush" an area of the image with the intent of bringing that
area forward.
This is where I run into problems:
Problem 1: If I "Clone" on a portion of the left side-by-side image
(or on the right) in the standard/main SPM window, and then look at it
as an anaglyph in "Adjust" --> "Easy Adjustment" I see absolutely no
change, no depth. The area I "cloned" hasn't moved forward at all.
Problem 2: The example on http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/help/index.htm
shows cloning/editing being done in the main SPM window on an already
created anaglyph, so I viewed my same-image/Left-Right images as an
anaglyph in the main window and then used the clone brush, but I still
see no change in depth, either "live" on that image or as an anaglyph
in the "Easy Adjustment" window. Problem 3: If, as
described in Brian's Step 2, I open the the "Easy Adjustment" window
first, I cannot even launch/load the clone brush within that window.
I've tried that in the default "Easy Adjustment" anaglyph mode and with
just the left or right view. No depth affect at all.
Am I being too literal about something? Am I missing some basic step here?
Thanks for your suggestions and help.
