Brian--Thank you for going through the huge effort of posting your tutorial using the view that started this conversation. To start off I highly recommend the FREE download, Open Office. It's a suiteof programs/apps that is similar to MS Office (I think it's better because it takes up less hard drive space and runs faster.) It's just as comprehensive as Office, and the price is great! It'sfile system enables viewing Office output. Open Office is regularly updated, so there is no need to obtain upgrades.I went back and forth between the first slide and the final two, and, despite your efforts, I saw nothing about the results that justified all the extra time and effort.Yes, the first slide had some normal ghosting, and the item at lower right abutted against the stereo window, but nothing was excessive. The main problem as I saw it was thehigh contrast that included extremely dark areas making the ghosts appear more pronounced. This may seem like a contradiction, for I'm usually a big fan of high contrast. In the final analysis of the last slide, while some ghosting appeared more subdued, the FW added ghosts of its own which were overly prominent due to their location at the foregroundof the overall view. In effect, the FW represented merely a ghosting tradeoff whose appreciation is a subjective call. In fact I liked the original slide better because, without theFW it appeared less cluttered and all seemed closer. The FW created a tunnel effect that made the subject matter appear more distant.I also viewed this morning a conversion by Gug of a young woman in a bonnet. He used a FW but in this case it didn't seem intrusive, and was subtle in its appearance. The overall framingwas not very wide, and as a result, didn't call attention to itself and AWAY from the picture. So I can't conclude that the FW is useless--only that it’s best when used in a subtle manner and underthe right circumstances: well-lit, less contrasty views with foregrounds that might abut, but don't violate the SW.Thanks for your efforts. I'm sure the Group is also much appreciative.Marshall
