Subject: [Anaglyphs] Purple Finch Nest
This is my contribution to the birth of spring as it relates to birds.I wasn't going to post it until other recent examples were offered. It's a hyper capture of eggs in the nest. I did a lot of cloning but eventually had to stop working on it.The momma is a Purple Finch which resemble a small Cardinal. Here is a 2D example I took earlier in the spring when there were about 10 of them at one time looking for mates... http://www.flickr.com/photos/ur4chun8/5544525147/in/photostream/Each spring I always have at least one bird nest built in the awning which covers my front door. During the daytime the momma will quickly fly outside the awning to a nearby tree branch when I open the door. Funny though, at night, she will usually stay on the nest when I open the door, even with my spotlight turned on.I never saw or heard any live babies. When the momma finally left the nest for good, I took another picture over my head since the nest is in a crevice which I cannot reach to look into with the naked eye. No eggs were there, but I'm not sure the babies survived. The blurry 2D picture (sorry), showed what appears to be a motionless baby on the bottom of the nest...Brian
