StereoPhoto Maker or SPM as we like to abbreviate it, is the best freeware for 3D stereo aligning, but there is other software for sale that we don't hear about that is designed for creating 3D stereos but are not free.  I admit that I've been curious about them but for most practical purposes, SPM is more than sufficient and unlike some competitors has continued to upgrade and improve while remaining free to all.  Because of this it's done more for 3D stereo hobbyists than any other company by allowing the average Joe to get involved and produce 3D stereo images without financial risk.

Ok, here is a properly aligned and tweaked version of this image, courtesy of stereo maestro Jim Carbonetti.

I guess it's time for me to invest in a copy of stereo photo maker. Is that the best tool for aligning "cha cha" images?
